Where Can I Start a Film About Palestine?

Hammam Chott, October 1985: when the Israeli air force bombed the PLO headquarters near Tunis, colonial violence left a wound in Tunisian flesh that transcended borders. Solidarity between the two peoples did not begin there, but it was strongly reaffirmed: the history of independent Tunisia, forged in the struggle against French occupation, is mirrored in the Palestinian resistance. Since then, Tunisian streets, universities and screens have become relays for this cause, in the name of shared dignity.

Director Maxime Naudet Anoudou unearths traces of the massacre and the voices associated with it from the archives.
