The story of an olive tree in a whirlpool (2023)

Origin: Netherlands, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine | Documentary | Director: Mohammad Abou Chair | 60 minutes

Director Mohammad Abou Chair:
“An olive tree and an anonymous human, on a journey searching for their roots, a land where they can grow, a land to call home. Through this journey, different Palestinians living in different countries share their stories. Stories that explore how their life and identity were impacted by displacement and the occupation of Palestine. Whether they are living as refugees, stateless, holding another nationality, or under the “Israeli” occupation, what unites us is home.

I want to mention that the film was made, without any financial support or high-quality equipment. This film was made by the people, with the people, for the people.”
