One smile at a time, Alloush -- short-statured and disabled -- challenges Gaza's devastation by spreading hope and passing moments of joy.

In war-devastated Gaza, Aloosh, Alaa Meqdad, is a short-statured, disabled clown fighting to reclaim his purpose as the "Joy Maker." Living in a tent with his family after their home in the Shati refugee camp is destroyed, he struggles daily for food, water, and survival. Yet through bombed streets and shattered spirits, he continues to perform for children, determined to bring light to the darkness. As war closes in, Aloosh clings to laughter and art amid unimaginable hardship.
