Thank God it’s Friday is a documentary about daily life in the Palestinian village Nabi Saleh and its opposite Israeli settlement Halamish. Every week after Friday prayer the villagers protest against the occupation and every week these protests are being answered with tear gas and rubber bullets. Children are the thread throughout the documentary. Due to the constant confrontation with violence and the consequences of the occupation the children from Nabi Saleh don’t play football but prefer playing very real war games. Thank God it’s Friday shows how the children of Nabi Saleh are being affected by the violence.
