Edward Said, the philosopher, the intellectual, the reader of cultures, the head teacher in the academic field of postcolonial studies, the authoritative critic who for three decades represented Arab culture in America, one of the most representative figures in the history of Palestine, known for his ideas and for his contribution to solving the dilemmas of our time, has put the Palestinian question above all the problems that the intellectual, the critic and the politician must advocate and fought for a culture that supports freedom, justice, truth and universal values of humanity. Edward Said who was and did all this, like so many compatriots forced to leave Israeli-occupied Palestine, lived "out of place", always in the wrong place.
