Cinema Rex (2020)
Origin: Israel | Fiction | Director: Mayan Engelman, Eliran Peled | 7 minutes
A 7 minutes family-friendly animated short.
Our short was inspired by the power of cinema to bridge between enemies and cultures. The story takes place in the divided city of Jerusalem, 1938, where the legendary "Cinema Rex" opens its doors.
The story is told through the eyes of two children, Moeiz and Ranin: He speaks only Hebrew, and she speaks only Arabic - through the cinema, they will form a true friendship by finding one common language - the language of cinema.
